Directing ABC's Summer Sampling Program, I oversaw legal approvals, music clearances, survey data collection, and execution of pilot screenings at local state fairs, festivals, movies-in-the-park and more:
As a means to drum-up word of mouth anticipation for the launch of ABC;s new show, GCB, I contracted theaters in Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio to screen the pilot. Working with the local ABC affiliates, we showed the episode to crowded theaters. Screenings were promoted through theater socials and during local affiliate news. Each event screening was complete with GCB nail polish, tune-in collateral and an earful of viewer comments!
Partnering with ATX Television Festival, I negotiated ABC's sponsorship of this niche summer event to include promotional trailer placement at select pilot screenings, full page color ad in festival program, website exposure and inclusion in festival bags. I collaborated with Talent Relations to travel Once Upon a Time's consulting producer, Jane Espenson, to the festival to appear on a panel discussion after the pilot screening. The event generated positive press coverage and show awareness in front of a highly engaged viewer segment.
Working in tandem with ABC Press & Publicity, I coordinated a pilot screening for Once Upon a Time followed by a panel discussion with creators, Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Additionally, I oversaw two autograph sessions with fans and an exclusive interview assembly with digital press outlets.
